We are seeking an experienced and student-focused Learning Specialist to join our Learning and Academic Engagement team on a fixed-term basis.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Learning and Academic Engagement, you will play a key role in developing and delivering inclusive academic learning support services that enhance the success of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students.
This role offers the opportunity to design and facilitate a range of learning interventions, including individual consultations, small-group sessions, workshops, orientation programmes, and learning resources. You will support students to strengthen their academic literacies, digital capabilities, study skills, and confidence in navigating university learning environments.
Working closely with colleagues across Te Mātāpuna, faculties, and other university divisions, you will contribute to the design of innovative and accessible learning experiences. You will also monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, using data and student feedback to continuously improve service delivery and student outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proficient user of Excel
Ability to find solutions to complex problems
Ideally have a tertiary qualification and 3 years' practical experience in a relevant industry
A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and supportive of AUT’s Te Aronui journey.
