Job DescriptionTe Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Clinic Administrator to support the University of Auckland Optometry Clinic within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.You will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our student-led teaching clinic. This role is responsible for patient support, administration, reception, and the daily activities that keep our busy and diverse clinic running smoothly. Supporting our Optometry Clinic, you'll enjoy a variety of tasks, work with a diverse patient population, and be part of a unique environment that delivers high-quality clinical services while helping students achieve the clinical competencies required for course completion.In essence, you'll be helping to support the training and development of the future allied health workforce.Key responsibilities includeFront-of-house and reception responsibilities.Liaising with patients and providing information about our services.Appointment scheduling and diary management across multiple user groups.Invoice processing and payment collection.Processing external claims.Managing Healthlink referrals to Health NZ and other external agencies.Ensuring patient confidentiality protocols and requirements are adhered to.Obtaining and maintaining appropriate consent and documentation prior to service delivery.Supporting clinical teams with the preparation and distribution of clinical correspondence.Maintaining Health and Safety standards in line with University and legislative requirements.This is a fulltime, permanent positionThe salary range for this role is $61,701 - $71,000 depending on skills and experience.For more detailed information, please refer to the position descriptionHe kōrero mōu | About youYou'll have experience in a busy administration, reception or customer-facing role and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Job DescriptionMō tō mātou rōpū | About the teamThe Neurogenetic Research Clinic, part of the Centre for Brain Research, is a leading centre for clinical research in rare neurological disorders. Our work spans international clinical trials, natural history studies and translational research aimed at improving diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for people living with inherited neurological conditions.Our multidisciplinary team is led by Associate Professor Richard Roxburgh, Consultant Neurologist, and includes neurophysiologists, research nurses, physiotherapists, genetic counsellors and study coordinators.Participant assessments are conducted at Clinical Research Centre (Building 507, Grafton) for research in collaboration with international partners and pharmaceutical sponsors.Current projects include:Phase 3 clinical trials for focal epilepsy (tablets) and myotonic dystrophy (infusion).Observational studies to validate clinical outcome measures, characterise phenotypes and identify biomarkers.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are seeking a motivated doctor to join our team as a Sub-Investigator on a casual basis. Job DescriptionThe opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahiWe are seeking to recruit exam room invigilators to provide supervision during end of semester exams, for students who have approved Special Conditions.These are students who have either a:Temporary disability Permanent disabilityCondition that affects their ability to sit exams under the prescribed conditions.You will be responsible for supervising and ensuring compliance during exam sessions to ensure the security and integrity of the exam environment and you will play an integral role in assisting students during a particularly stressful part of their studies.You will hold integrity in high regard, pay close attention to detail and be able to remain vigilant for prolonged periods. You will be able to adapt to mixed modes of exam delivery, including on campus digital exams, traditional paper-based exams and remote, online invigilation.You will be responsible for:Setting up the exam room by placing exam papers, stationery and equipment at desks in accordance with procedures and spacing requirements.Implementing exam rules and regulations and remaining attentive throughout the exam, monitoring student behaviour.Assisting before, during and after the exam by directing students to their seats, advising them about possessions permitted in the exam room, and handling queries raised.Supervising carefully, making sure that students do not communicate with one another during the exam, and responding to any irregularities immediately.Checking attendance during exams and recording details of late arrivals.Escorting candidates on washroom breaks as required.Detecting any unauthorised materials inside the exam room and ensuring that academic integrity is upheld at all times.Delivering and collecting exam scripts carefully at the start and end of the exam in accordance with procedures.Be able to adapt to different modes of exams throughout the day and/or exam period.Support exam processesYou will need to be available as needed throughout the exam period.
