    Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

    We are seeking a Facilities and Services Manager to join our team in the Faculty of Engineering and Design. You will lead the facilities team in managing the provision of functional spaces to all academic departments and administrative functions in the faculty. You will be the primary liaison to Campus Environment to ensure the adequate provision of maintenance, cleaning, access control, space planning and minor capital works projects. You will also ensure that health and safety, containment, sustainability, and environmental requirements are met.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to the to the Facilities team.
    • Responsible for the implementation of operational plans for Facilities and Services
    • Co-ordinate and manage Minor Capital Works projects for the faculty.
    • Liaise with Property Services for Space Planning
    • Develop and maintain relationships with other Facilities and Services Managers and departments throughout the University.
    • Manage and monitor service delivery of all Facilities and Services activities.

    This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week role, permanent. The salary range for this role is $87,000 - $107,500 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

    Our suitable candiate will meet the following requirements:

    • 5 years’ experience in operational or facilities roles demonstrated skills and experience in leading a small team of staff.
    • Demonstrated experience working with maintaining health & safety compliance.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of reporting, administration and general information systems.
    • Demonstrated skills and experience in team building, change management and working co-operatively

    To be successful in this role you will need to be a self-starter with strong skills in relationship development and stakeholder engagement who is comfortable working within an ambiguous and complex environment.
