Job Description:
Coordinate recruitment &engagement activities that inspire Māori and Pasifika learners to explore and pursue tertiary study opportunities.
Mō te tūka | The role
Join us in helping Māori and Pasifika learners discover the opportunities a tertiary education can offer. Based in our Student Engagement team, you'll coordinate and deliver recruitment and engagement initiatives that connect prospective students, whānau, schools and communities with Lincoln University.
Some tasks of the role include:
- Coordinating school visits, campus tours, expos and community events.
- Building relationships with schools, whānau, iwi, hapū and community organisations.
- Supporting prospective students with study and programme information.
- Assisting with course planning and responding to enquiries.
- Coordinating stakeholder communications and engagement activities.
- Maintaining recruitment records and reporting on activities.
Working closely with Te Manutaki and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you'll help create accessible pathways into study through culturally responsive, relationship-focused engagement. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students throughout their decision-making journey and strengthening participation in tertiary education.
Mahi & Wāhi / Utu | Work pattern, location & salary
This fixed term role ending April 2027 is based at our Lincoln Campus and works 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE).
The salary for this position is $57,000 - $60,000 per annum (pro-rata to fixed term), depending on experience.

You will bring:
- Experience in customer service and relationship building.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexiblity to travel to events as required
- Confidence presenting to and engaging with different audiences.
- Experience working with young people from diverse backgrounds.
- Good organisational skills, initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikaka is an advantage
- Alignment with Manaakitaka and Lincoln University values.
