The Office of Learning, Teaching and Educational Design (LTED) is a central university service. The team supports strategic priorities in learning and teaching at AUT. The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
These are full-time permanent positions. In this role you will cover a broad range of educational practice, which includes innovative pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, digital learning, understanding of scholarship/pedagogical research. An understanding of Mātauranga Māori and/or Pacific pedagogies and strong cultural capability is highly desirable.
Through a design-led process, you will work alongside academic staff teams to create authentic blended learning experiences, bringing evidence-based design principles into practice. You will play a vital role in supporting and managing various work strands and projects in your role

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation of standing
- At least four years’ experience in planning, designing, and developing educational approaches and implementing learning design methodologies which incorporate evidence-based pedagogies for face to face, blended, and online learning environments
- Experience creating, and working within, systematic learning design processes at scale, including managing multiple projects and associated milestones, within centrally coordinated learning design projects
- A proven track record of working with academics/specialists to achieve outcomes that meet project needs and align with the wider university directions
- Evidence of evidence-based approach for provisioning of a broad range of learning and teaching support activities including academic consultation, curriculum design and support for assessment design
- Proven experience of working on new course developments and/or programme-wide within a university
- Knowledge and skills in Mātauranga Māori and/or Pasific pedagogy, and experiences of supporting staff embedding these in learning and teaching context is highly desirable
