The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
This is a full-time, fixed-term role until December 2028, based at AUT’s City Campus in Auckland CBD.
The primary focus of this role is phone-based outbound sales of AUT’s online offering to achieve our enrolment targets. You will enjoy sales and be driven to convert student leads into successful applications and enrolments. Working to agreed recruitment strategies, you will play a key role in supporting AUT Online’s end-to-end student journey, ensuring a seamless and effective experience from first enquiry to application and enrolment, through to graduation.
Reporting to the AUT Online Senior Recruitment and Retention Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across AUT Online, including marketing, admissions, and enrolments, as well as academic and programme teams. As AUT Online continues to grow and mature, you can expect a high-cange environment with real scope to shape how we work and improve the student experience.
In supporting AUT’s Te Aronui journey, you will help widen equitable access to online study, including for Māori and Pacific learners, and for those balancing study with work and whānau commitments.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Sales experience: a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a high-performing sales consultant or student advisor, preferably in higher education
- Proven success: a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and performance targets within agreed timeframes
- Comfort working in a project environment: the ability to work flexibly and adapt to change in a high-change environment
- A passion for education: experience in higher education is not essential but would be advantageous
- Cultural excellence: a commitment to building team understanding of te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
