Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As a Tautāwhi | Administrator in Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education, you will provide essential administrative support that enables the smooth delivery of academic programmes and services. As a member of the Faculty Administration Services Team (FAST), you will join a collaborative and high-performing team that works together across a shared portfolio of activities to deliver excellent service and support. Your responsibilities may include coordinating professional practice placement administration for students, colleagues, schools, centres, and kura. You may also support administrative processes associated with Initial Teacher Education selection and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of administrative processes. Working closely with your team, you will help ensure efficient and effective operations across the faculty while contributing to a positive and responsive service culture.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will be an experienced administrator with at least 3-4 years' experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a large organisation.
You will have:
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, schools, centres, kura, and wider education partners. a collaborative mindset, demonstrating flexibility in working with teams to achieve common goals.
- strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, databases and modern technologies.
- tertiary sector experience, or an understanding of the New Zealand education system, would be advantageous.
- a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes while managing competing demands.
- the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a dynamic team

Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will join the Faculty Administration Services Team (FAST) within Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education, working as part of a collaborative team that shares knowledge, best practice, templates, systems and processes to provide effective support across the Faculty.
Working closely with academic and professional staff, students, schools, centres, kura and wider University service areas, you will build positive relationships and contribute to a responsive, high-quality service. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are key aspects of the role, with a focus on working collectively to deliver consistent and effective support across the Faculty.
