The Continuous Improvement Team helps the University work smarter by building capability, improving processes, enabling digital tools, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The role | Te mahi
This is a capability-building role focused on helping people learn, adapt and improve. You'll design and deliver engaging workshops, training and learning experiences that build capability across continuous improvement, AI literacy and enablement, operational data insights, and digital ways of working. Working with stakeholders across the University, you'll help people develop the skills and confidence to embrace new ways of working.
You'll also contribute to the development of capability-building resources, programmes and initiatives that support continuous improvement and innovation across the University.
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering engaging workshops, training and capability-building activities.
• Facilitating learning that supports continuous improvement, AI and digital capability.
• Developing practical learning resources and guidance materials.
• Building strong relationships and supporting capability uplift across the University.
• Evaluating and continuously improving learning programmes and experiences.
• Contributing to capability-building initiatives that support continuous improvement, innovation and adoption of new technologies.
Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako
You'll be an engaging facilitator who enjoys helping people learn and grow. You'll bring:
• Experience delivering workshops, training or capability-building initiatives.
• Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for continuous improvement, innovation and learning.
• The ability to translate complex ideas into practical, accessible learning.
• Confidence using and learning new digital tools and technologies.
Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma, AI technologies, Microsoft 365, learning design, coaching, change enablement, or data literacy would be advantageous.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term position until November 2027, based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.
The appointment range for this role is $75,631 to $80,503 per annum.
