Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Research and Data Adviser to join the operations team in Te Kura Tangata - Development and Alumni Relations Office on a 12-month, part-time contract to cover parental leave.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and day-to-day administration of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database, including data imports, record maintenance, duplicate resolution, and data quality assurance tasks.
- Develop and deliver queries, exports and reports to support fundraising, alumni engagement, events, and strategic decision-making.
- Create and manage online donation forms, constituent records, contact preferences, memberships, and communication lists to support donor and stakeholder engagement.
- Support operations colleagues with project and research requests, as required, and on occasion support events delivery (i.e. graduation).

You will be a motivated, detail-oriented individual who can pick up new systems quickly, use your initiative to seek answers and use your time efficiently.
Key requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail, with experience managing data and using systems/software.
- A strong commitment to professionalism and integrity, with experience handling confidential information.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational skills to prioritise tasks and complete a wide variety of data management tasks.
- You'll work onsite joining our supportive, friendly and professional operations team.
