About the role | Te mahi
As a Payroll Administrator in the Input team, you will provide a range of services that support the employment of staff across the University.
A usual day will include being responsible for a range of routine time critical tasks to maintain and check employee data and calculations, administer various leave records, and respond accurately and consistently to queries.
You’ll be working in a confidential, technology-enabled environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Importantly, you won’t be doing this alone. You will be part of a team of Payroll Administrators, supported by the Team Leader and Payroll Manager. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity to build your payroll knowledge while contributing as a capable and valued team member.

We are looking for candidates who:
• Have proven experience in a busy time critical operational function requiring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Are committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Work well as part of a collaborative, supportive team.
• Can manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Are confident using Microsoft Office.

Based on the Dunedin campus our payroll team sits within HR Services, alongside HR Administration. We are a group of skilled professionals who work together to deliver an excellent staff experience.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role is $63,508 to $68,185. Top of range $73,640 per annum.
