    Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

    The Student Health Service is seeking an experienced and highly organised Practice Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our busy multidisciplinary health service.

    Working closely with the Practice Manager, you'll coordinate administrative workflows, manage clinical rosters and appointment scheduling, provide first-line IT support for clinical systems, oversee financial and procurement processes, and support recruitment and onboarding activities. You'll play a key role in ensuring our administrative functions operate efficiently while delivering an outstanding experience for students accessing our services.

    This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, supporting colleagues and continuously improving systems and processes.

    Salary will be in the range of $73,235 to $87,024 per annum based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

    You'll bring significant experience in health administration, ideally within a general practice or primary healthcare environment, along with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

    You'll also have:

    • A Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent (Bachelor's degree desirable).

    • Experience using Indici or a comparable patient management system.

    • A strong understanding of general practice administration and medical terminology.

    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new technologies.

    • Experience supporting staff with clinical systems and basic IT troubleshooting.

    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

    • A collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

    • An understanding of privacy, health and safety, and quality standards within a healthcare environment.
