Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Network Engineer to join the Network team in Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a fixed-term, full-time contract until December 2026.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
We are looking for a candidate with experience in the support of a medium to large scale service provider environment supporting 20,000+ network attached devices and 24/7 service availability.
The ideal candidate should have experience across a wide range of technologies with in-depth technical knowledge while at the same time understand the bigger picture with a strong customer focused work ethic.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Strong background in the support and troubleshooting medium to large Cisco routed and switched networks including wireless technologies and SDA.
- Even though you are technical well versed in multiple fields, you like to keep on learning and expanding your technical knowledge.
- You are a team player and like to share knowledge.
- Experience with network hardware installations, well familiar with cabling standards, patching of desktop devices and wireless access points.
- Experience with Agile Methodology.
