    The role | Te mahi

    The Wellington Medical & Health Sciences Library is seeking applications for a permanent fulltime Reference Librarian. The Library supports the teaching, learning and research activities of UOW staff and students, and also delivers contracted library services to hospital staff.

    The successful applicant will join a small, collegial team contributing to the provision of high quality library services including:
    • Designing and delivering library teaching for UOW and hospital clients in both face-to face and online environments
    • Providing research support services to UOW staff, students and hospital staff
    • Undertaking literature searches
    • Responding to complex information enquiries in a timely and effective manner

    Your skills and experience | Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

    The successful candidate will have Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of academic, student and health professional clients.

    Other skills and experience:
    • A tertiary level qualification in Library and Information Studies or an equivalent qualification
    • Proven experience in the delivery of Library information and research services
    • Experience designing and delivering effective client education and training
    • Experience using library databases and information resources in an academic or research context

    This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours) position, based in Pōneke, Wellington.

    The appointment range for this role is $75,631 to $80,503. Top of range $88, 750.
