    Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

    Rewarding role offers vital administrative and financial tasks to The Psychology Centre (TPC). As the first point of contact, you’ll handle reception, respond to enquiries, and process client referrals. You’ll also manage client databases, schedule group therapy sessions, and maintain filing systems.

    You’ll play a key role in financial operations, including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliation, while ensuring compliance with TPC and university policies. Additionally, you’ll assist with word processing, data entry, and liaise with other university services and departments to keep things running smoothly.     Salary will be in the range of $73,235 to $87,024 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

    Ideally, you have experience in a tertiary setting with a solid background in administration and finance. You’re comfortable with invoicing, payment tracking, and financial reconciliation, and skilled in report writing, note-taking, and database management. With a customer-focused, professional attitude, you ensure a positive experience for everyone you work with.

    The Psychology Centre (TPC) within Te Kura Whatu Oho Mauri, the School of Psychological and Social Sciences aims to enhance clinical psychology education and training. TPC focuses on evidence-based assessment and intervention, clinical research, and advanced training for practising psychologists. The Centre also develops specialised mental health programmes for children, youth, and adults in the Waikato region, collaborating with key community partners.
