Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for an Adviser to join the Information and Records Management team. This is a permanent, full-time role located in Te Pātaka Kōrero - University Library.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a responsive advisory service to University staff on all aspects of information and records management across all formats.
- Act as a trusted advisor to their allocated portfolio, is the first point of contact for queries about information and records management.
- Support the advocacy for and implementation of the Information and Records Management programme of work, including tools and services.
- Support the management of the University Archive and the onsite, inactive records rooms.
Ō pūmanawa - About you
You will be an enthusiast advocate for good information and records management, who can take the initiative, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key requirements:
- A relevant University degree or tertiary qualification.
- Demonstrates a strong interest in, and enthusiasm for, information and records management.
- Basic knowledge of the legislation, regulations, standards and principles informing and underpinning information and records management.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and flexibly under pressure, manage competing demands and prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
