    Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

    Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Student Operations Adviser to join the Student Finance and Admissions and Enrolment teams in a 12-month fixed-term, full-time role.

    This role sits under Future Students and Student Operations and is based at our Kelburn Campus.

    The Student Operations Adviser provides expert administrative and advisory support across Student Fees and Enrolment, with a strong focus on international students. The role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of visa information, enrolment activities and financial transactions; resolves issues impacting enrolment; provides expert advice on fees, payment options and enrolment requirements; and delivers a seamless student experience through high-quality service, robust data integrity and compliance with University policies and procedures.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Deliver exceptional service and advice to students and staff across Student Fees and Enrolment.
    • Manage student fee administration, refunds, payments, and related financial processes.
    • Support international students with enrolment and visa related requirements.
    • Assist students to manage outstanding fees through payment plans and debt management activities.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement, system enhancements, and high-quality data management.

    Key requirements:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
    • Proven experience delivering excellent customer service with a strong client-focused approach.
    • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and maintain high standards of data integrity.
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and quickly learn new systems and processes.
