Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Bring together people, programmes and opportunities across UC’s MBA, providing trusted advice to prospective and current students while playing a pivotal role in recruitment and admission, academic administration, industry engagement and the day-to-day coordination that keeps the MBA experience seamless and engaging.
From industry engagement events and student workshops to block weekends and other programme activities, you will coordinate experiences that bring the MBA to life, while building strong relationships across the Business School, wider University, industry and the MBA community.
Mōu | Who You Are
You are an experienced administrator who enjoys working in a busy, people-focused environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, proactive and high-quality support. You will bring:
- 5–6 years’ experience in an administrative support role, preferably within a large organisation. Tertiary experience or an understanding of the New Zealand education system would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer and student focus.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and high-volume administrative activity.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, with the ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
- Confidence using modern office technology, Microsoft Office applications and databases, and a readiness to quickly learn new systems.
- The ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and collaborate effectively with a wide range of people.
- A commitment to UC’s values, inclusive practice and working respectfully within tikanga Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga would be an advantage.
- An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will report to the MBA Director and work closely with the MBA team, academics, the Associate Dean (Academic), Academic Services Manager, recruitment and marketing teams, and a wide range of Business School and University service areas. This role involves building strong relationships with MBA students, graduates, industry partners, suppliers and other programme stakeholders, playing a key role in creating a professional, welcoming and connected MBA community.
