The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
AUT is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator – Data Compliance to support the Director, Data, Technology Risk and Policy. You’ll investigate software capabilities, review software and service agreements, assess data and compliance risks against agreed criteria, and summarise your findings and recommendations in order to provide advice to the University community. You’ll also manage review workflows and maintain assessment registers and records.
You’ll bring strong analytical and organisational skills, clear communication, and confidence interpreting terms in technology agreements. You’ll work with colleagues across AUT, including ICT Services, to clarify requirements and support responsible, compliant use of data and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Review software and service agreements, identify relevant terms, and assess data and compliance risks against agreed criteria.
- Summarise assessment findings, recommend remediation actions, and maintain accurate assessment records and registers.
- Coordinate review requests and liaise with ICT colleagues and requesters to clarify requirements and support compliance work.
In this role you will:
- Investigate and assess the risk and compliance exposure of data-related activities at AUT.
- Review software and service agreements, including terms of service and end-user licence agreements.
- Apply agreed criteria to assess risks, summarise findings and recommend remediation where needed.
- Coordinate review requests, maintain assessment registers and share completed assessments and advice with the AUT community.

- Salary Ranges | Ngā Utu: $76,000 - $102,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications) - pro rata
