    Job Description:

    Support the delivery of scholarships, prizes and student records, ensuring a positive scholar experience and accurate, compliant administration.

    Mō te tūka | The role

    Join our Scholarships team and play a key role in supporting Lincoln University's scholarship programmes and scholar community.

    This role is responsible for coordinating the administration of scholarships, prizes and student records, ensuring processes are accurate, compliant and delivered with a strong customer focus. You will work closely with students, academic staff, scholarship sponsors and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of both domestic and internationally funded scholarship programmes.

    Some tasks of the role include:

    • Coordinating scholarship and prize administration from application through to payment and reporting.
    • Supporting scholarship selection panels and postgraduate scholarship processes.
    • Maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments and monitoring scholarship expenditure.
    • Managing reporting and compliance requirements for scholarship programmes, including MNZSP.
    • Building and maintaining positive relationships with scholarship sponsors, scholars and key stakeholders.
    • Assisting with scholarship events, orientations, celebrations and engagement activities.

    This is a varied and rewarding position where your organisational skills, attention to detail and relationship-building abilities will help provide an exceptional experience for scholars while supporting important University initiatives.

    Mahi & Wāhi / Utu | Work pattern, location & salary

    This permanent role is based at our Lincoln Campus and works 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE).

    The salary for this position is $67,000 - $72,000 per annum, depending on experience.

    To be successful in the role you will have:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant administration experience in a complex environment.
    • Proven attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
    • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
    • A strong customer service focus and the ability to respond professionally and empathetically to student enquiries.
    • Experience building positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a large organisation.
    • An understanding of the tertiary education environment and scholarship administration would be advantageous.
