Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As an Electrician within our Facilities Management team, you will provide high quality electrical services across University buildings, property and infrastructure. Working as part of our wider trades team, you will support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a diverse range of electrical systems across our campus.

You will install, maintain and repair electrical distribution systems and general electrical services, undertake planned maintenance and compliance checks, and support electrical and control systems associated with mechanical services. You will also develop an understanding of UC's private 11kV network, contribute to energy management initiatives and support the continuity of essential services through after hours support when required.

Mōu | Who You Are

You will be a qualified electrician with strong practical experience working across commercial and industrial environments. You will be comfortable working within an active operational environment and collaborating with other trades and specialist contractors.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Proven experience delivering electrical services in commercial and industrial environments
• Proven experience installing, maintaining and repairing electrical distribution systems
• Experience providing electrical services within an ongoing operational environment
• A general understanding of 11kV networks, with working knowledge considered an advantage
• Experience planning and managing your daily work effectively
• Proven experience working collaboratively as part of a wider trades team

Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will be part of the Facilities Management trades team, working alongside electricians and a range of skilled tradespeople, including Control Technicians, Fitters and Plumbers. You will also work with specialist contractors to support the safe and reliable operation of electrical services and infrastructure across the University.
