AUT’s award-winning Student Services and Administration directorate is dedicated to delivering exceptional student-centred experiences across the entire learner journey, from enrolment through to graduation and beyond. Bringing together high impact services in student administration, wellbeing and support, governance, systems, and operational delivery, the directorate works collaboratively with academic and professional teams to enable student success and institutional effectiveness. Working in the Admissions Team you will be processing applications for AUT and supporting these students on the start of their journey.
The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Admissions Assessor to join our Admissions team. This role plays a key part in ensuring that applications from prospective and existing students are assessed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth and effective management of our student intake. As an Admissions Assessor, you'll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks, all while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.

- Assess applications for admission to AUT, ensuring all relevant documents and criteria are met.
- Application decisions are consistent with AUT’s policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to various stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively to meet established goals and deadlines.

The successful applicant for this role will have:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the New Zealand secondary school and tertiary education environment
- Proven experience in administration, preferably in a higher education or student services environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- A commitment to equity,diversity and inclusion and supportive of AUT’s Te Aronui journey.

- Salary Range: $62,000 - $71,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
