    Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team

    The Student Hubs team is the physical gateway to the Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland. We provide a welcoming, friendly, and mana-enhancing service for future and current students across their student journey.

    We deliver a wide range of services to support students on their journey at Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland. Our primary function is to deliver high-quality in-person and online services that support students holistically. Our services include: 

    • guidance and advice on being a student 
    • navigating the University systems, spaces and processes 
    • exploring study options 
    • application and enrolment support 
    • Library & Student IT services 

    Our recruitment Process

    Phone Screening: To assist us with shortlisting for interviews, we may be giving you a quick call. If you receive our call during an inconvenient time, please let us know and we will be happy to call you back.

    Group & Individual Interviews: The interviews for these positions will consist of Group and Individual Interviews. They will be conducted on the same day, either on Tuesday 6 October (9 am to 12 pm) or Wednesday 7 October (9am to 12 pm). You need to be available on either of these interview dates and attend both parts of the interview.

    As we are working within a short recruitment timeframe, we recommend having your references ready early in the process.

    The start date for all roles will be Monday, 9 November, and there will be a two-week, full-time training and induction programme that will be based primarily at the City Campus.

    We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team of Student Hub Assistants who:

    Work Patterns:

    Location: City

    Full Time, 37.5 hours per week - Saturday and Sunday 9am–5pm and Monday - Wednesday 8am–4pm - Fixed term - from 9 Nov 2026 – 1 Sep 2027

    Part Time, 24 hours per week - Thursday 2pm–10pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 2pm–8pm Start date - 9 Nov 2026 - Permanent

    Full Time, 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 12pm–8pm - Fixed term - 9 Nov 2026 – 28 Mar 2027

    Full Time, 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 10am–6pm - Fixed term - 9 Nov 2026 – 28 Mar 2027

    Full Time, 37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday 11am–7pm - Fixed term - 9 Nov 2026 – 28 Mar 2027

    Part Time, 20 hours per week - Monday - Friday 10am–2pm  - Fixed term -.9 Nov 2026 – 28 Mar 2027

    Location: Grafton

    Part Time, 20 hours per week - Monday- Friday 10am–2pm - Fixed Term -.09 Nov 2026 – 28 Mar 2027

    We also have a number of casual roles available.

    The salary range is $55,600-$57,000 per annum (pro-rated for part-time positions), depending on experience and qualifications.
