    Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
    As our Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with Product Managers, technical teams, and stakeholders across the University to translate business needs into well-defined solutions. You will lead analysis activities across complex projects — from discovery and requirements gathering through to delivery — ensuring solutions are practical, aligned with strategy, and deliver real value.

    This role requires someone who can confidently move between strategic conversations with senior leaders and detailed technical discussions with development teams and you will be responsible for:

    • Leading stakeholder engagement and requirements discovery across complex digital initiatives
    • Analysing business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
    • Translating business needs into clear requirements, process models, and solution designs
    • Supporting Product Managers in developing achievable product roadmaps and delivery plans
    • Guiding delivery teams during implementation, sprint planning, and deployment
    • Facilitating workshops, large stakeholder meetings, and presentations
    • Developing artefacts such as business cases, funding proposals, and change documentation
    • Contributing to the development of data and integration practices aligned with University strategy
    • Working closely with architects, developers, and project teams to ensure solutions are feasible and deliverable.

    Mōu | Who You Are
    You are an experienced Senior Business Analyst who enjoys working across both technical and business domains. You bring strong analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. To be successful in this role you will have:

    • 10+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst within a complex IT or digital environment
    • Strong experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis, data modelling, and process analysis
    • Proven success delivering digital or software solutions
    • Experience working with data and integration ecosystems
    • Experience preparing business cases, procurement documentation, and funding artefacts
    • Confidence facilitating large workshops and senior stakeholder discussions
    • Familiarity with Agile and Lean delivery methodologies
    • Exceptional communication, documentation, and organisational skills
    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline such as Computer Science or Software Engineering
