Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity 

Are you passionate about making a difference through philanthropy? Do you thrive in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment? AUT is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fundraising Coordinator to join our team and support the university's philanthropic efforts.

As part of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, you will play a key role in enabling impactful donor engagement, stewardship, and communication. Working closely with the AUT Foundation and Advancement teams, you'll help coordinate fundraising initiatives that support AUT's strategic priorities and contribute to a culture of giving across the university.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) role, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting education and community impact through philanthropy. AUT is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and values equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of its work.

Nga haepapa matua | Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and support fundraising campaigns and donor engagement activities
  • Maintain accurate donor records and generate insightful reports
  • Assist with donor communications, proposals, and impact reporting
  • Support stewardship through well-organised events and personalised outreach
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless fundraising operations

He kōrero mōu | About you 

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related field
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to AUT's values of integrity, respect, and compassion
  • Familiarity with donor databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge) is an advantage
