Position Overview
Are you ready to launch or grow your career at the intersection of recruitment, marketing, and people experience?
As our Staff Recruitment Talent and Marketing Resourcer, you will be the engine behind Massey University’s talent attraction efforts—working closely with the Staff Recruitment Advisors (SRA’s) to find, engage, and inspire candidates across Aotearoa and the globe.
You’ll use your skills in candidate sourcing and market research to build proactive talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs. You’ll partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and design targeted campaigns that connect with the right talent. Whether it’s through LinkedIn outreach, bespoke advertising strategies, or creative employer branding initiatives, your work will directly influence who joins Massey.
This role isn’t just about advertising roles—it’s about strategic sourcing, market engagement, and being a trusted advisor in the recruitment space.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key Responsibilities
- Talent Sourcing – Use sourcing tools, search platforms, networks, and creative outreach methods to proactively find great people.
- Recruitment Process Support – Coordinate job listings, advertising schedules, and candidate communications to ensure a smooth end-to-end experience.
- Market Insight – Analyse sourcing data and candidate trends to advise on hiring strategies and future talent needs.
- Employer Branding – Help craft content, campaigns and initiatives that promote Massey University as an employer of choice.
- Partner with SRA’s to drive job ad visibility through creative marketing and digital promotion strategies

- You hold a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related area—and ideally have had some exposure to recruitment, sourcing, or HR support.
- You’re confident using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, CRMs or other sourcing tools—or excited to learn.
- You can craft compelling messages and think like a marketer to attract the right candidates.
- You enjoy working with people—building relationships, responding to queries, and understanding team needs.
- You have a data-driven mindset and are always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to work.
- You bring cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity in hiring.
