Veterinary Receptionist Opportunities (Full-Time & Part-Time)

If you are passionate about pets and providing exceptional customer service, we want you to join our team at Massey Vets!!

We are looking for enthusiastic receptionists to join our dynamic Companion Animal team. We currently have opportunities for both full-time (37.5hrs/1 FTE) and part-time (30hrs/0.8 FTE) roles based at our Manawatū campus.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As the welcoming face of Massey Vets, you’ll manage client interactions with warmth and professionalism, whether face-to-face or by phone. You'll efficiently handle administrative duties including client appointments, payments, and accurate record-keeping. Your role ensures smooth communication between clients, veterinarians, students, and our support teams, even during busy and urgent situations.

He aha tā mātou e kimi nei | What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a veterinary clinic (reception preferred).
  • Veterinary nursing qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and empathy in client interactions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent in MS Office and data entry systems.
  • Flexibility for occasional after-hours and Saturday morning shifts.
