Lead energy efficiency, HVAC, electrical systems, and BMS upgrades while supporting sustainability and safe campus operations.

Mō te tūka | The role

Join our Property Services team in a pivotal role managing energy systems, HVAC, electrical, and building technologies across campus.

You'll lead sustainable energy initiatives, ensure compliance and operational excellence, and support smarter campus infrastructure through efficient system performance and contractor coordination.

Some tasks of the role include:

  • Lead energy strategy, audits, and reporting to support sustainability goals
  • Manage HVAC, BMS, electrical and security systems across campus buildings
  • Oversee renewable energy projects, including solar installations
  • Coordinate contractors and maintenance programs for critical infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, BWOF, and asset documentation
  • Deliver capital projects, manage budgets, and prepare detailed performance reports

Permanent role, 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) at our Lincoln Campus. Salary: circa $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You will have:

  • A degree or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or energy engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC, energy systems, and electrical infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in energy management and project delivery
  • Strong planning, communication, and contractor coordination skills
  • Proficiency with reporting systems, asset management tools, and MS Office
  • A proactive, safety-focused mindset and commitment to sustainable practices
