Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The School of Clinical Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Administrator to provide quality administrative and financial support to the Midwifery Department for Te ara ō Hine - Tapu ora, a contract with the Ministry of Health for supporting Māori and Pasifika undergraduate Midwifery Students.
You will be responsible for a variety of administrative activities that support the implementation and running of this project:
- budget management for internal and external parties
- payment management for internal and external parties
- meeting management, including minute taking
- event coordination and management
- travel bookings and other administrative activities
This position presents an opportunity to join a friendly team working with professional and academic staff in an educational, health, and environmental science setting.

This position requires sound organisational skills, budget management, Microsoft Office knowledge, and secretarial and administrative experience in a complex, busy work environment. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise with various external collaborators. Attention to detail, accurate and timely management of information, with the ability to provide up to date reports, are important attributes for this position. A high degree of professionalism in relationships with a wide range of people, both within and external to the Faculty, is essential.
