Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
We are seeking a dedicated Department Administrator to oversee the administration of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes within the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering. This role involves providing efficient and professional administrative support to both academic and administrative teams, ensuring smooth programme operations and departmental efficiency.

As the Department Administrator you will:

  • Effectively administer the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes of the Department.
  • Provide efficient and professional administrative support to the Academic and the Administrative teams.
  • Provide frontline services, welcoming visitors, and ensure up to date information is communicated through a variety of media.
  • Liaising with the community and other networks regarding events, seminars, and functions.

Mōu | Who You Are
You will be an experienced Administrator with at least 5 years experience, with a background in a business or education-related environment (preferably in a large organisation) and will have the following:

  • Competence in all Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Competence in use of electronic mail programmes (e.g. Microsoft Outlook).
  • Knowledge of and experience using and managing database systems and internet research techniques.
  • Ability to plan, develop and maintain electronic and paper-based filing systems.
  • Knowledge of meeting and minute taking protocols.
  • Experience in organising functions and other events.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
