Are you passionate about hospitality and events? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? AUT Events Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Catering & Events Supervisor to lead the successful delivery of high-quality conferences, events, and catering services both on- and off-campus.
About the Role
In this key supervisory position, you'll be responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional catering and event services. You will oversee staff, liaise with clients, manage logistics, and ensure the highest standards of food, beverage, and customer service. Your strong leadership and attention to detail will ensure each event runs smoothly, exceeds client expectations, and complies with all relevant food safety and liquor legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage catering and events
- Coordinate with the internal team, including chefs, supervisors, and AV staff, to ensure smooth event execution
- Supervise, train, and support a high-performing team of casual staff
- Maintain accurate records and follow hospitality systems and procedures
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Support the development and implementation of service standards and processes

What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in event or hospitality supervision
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to service excellence
- Knowledge of food safety and liquor licensing regulations
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
- A proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment
- A Duty Manager license is required
- A full NZ Driving License is required

Working Hours: Roster-based
Ngā Utu | Salary: $76,000 - $81,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
