Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a fixed-term, full-time Project Manager to join the team of Te Tātai Hauora o Hine - National Centre for Women’s Health Research Aotearoa on a 24-month fixed-term contract.
This role will support the delivery of two Kaupapa Māori research projects, each involving the use of innovative Point-of-Care Testing technology in rural Aotearoa primary care.
Key responsibilities:
- Project manage implementation of two Health Research Council awarded research grants.
- Provide excellent organisational skills and management of ethics and localities applications.
- Assist the research teams, and partners on-site in Kaitaia, Invercargill, Tairāwhiti, Te Kaha, and Wairoa.
- Support relationships and engage with iwi partners, local laboratories and stakeholders.

You will clearly and concisely communicate with a wide range of people in all situations, both orally and in writing; effectively listen; maintain a high degree of. Key requirements:
- Experience in project management.
- Significant understanding of data collection, management and the importance of data integrity and Māori data sovereignty.
- Outstanding people and communication skills including the ability to adjust to different audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- A current full New Zealand driver’s license.
