Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager! You will lead major capital and special projects, acting as the University’s representative to safeguard its interests in cost, time, and quality. You will oversee all stages of project delivery, from investigation and planning to procurement and construction, while working closely with legal advisors, contractors, and consultants.

As a key member of the Campus Development team, you will also drive strategic initiatives in capital development, sustainability, space planning, infrastructure, financial management, and risk. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of our University.

Salary will be based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Experienced construction professional with a solid background in project and contract management across capital works and building projects. Proven ability to manage complex workloads, deliver results under pressure, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong understanding of construction, IT systems and tools, with a practical, solutions-focused approach. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, project planning, and cost control, with a commitment to quality, safety, and delivering on time and within budget.
