Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Amaru - Disability Services is currently recruiting a permanent, full-time Accessible Assessment Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring that disabled students can undertake their assessment equitably and receive a seamless, timely quality service. The Accessible Assessment Coordinator works closely with other Te Amaru - Disability Services staff and liaises with university staff, to administer accessible assessment arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively gather detailed information about course assessment requirements from course outlines and collate these in the Disability Services database.
- Liaise with Tītoko exam coordinators and School administration staff to implement accessible assessment arrangements, ensuring strong and timely communication and proactive identification of issues.
- Regularly communicate with disabled students about their assessment arrangements to ensure they are informed about this service and any responsibilities they have.
- Provide regular reports to the Team Leader - Service Provision on the availability of assessment information, quantity and type of assessment arrangements, the student experience and improvements on ways we can work with other parts of the University to increase efficiency and student satisfaction.

You will be an excellent administrator with strong organisational skills who enjoys working behind the scenes. To thrive in this role, you need strong attention to detail, ability to manage deadlines, self-management and teamwork skills.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience of excellent customer service in a coordination or administrative role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
- Proven experience in identifying and creating innovative systems solutions
- Computer experience in the Microsoft Office suite of applications and databases
- Proven experience in adapting to change, problem-solving and influencing others to create change
