Looking for an opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge in tertiary education? We're excited to offer a Student Advisor position within the Student Hub, Disability Support Services at AUT.
We are seeking an Allied Health Professional—such as a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or similar—who holds a current Annual Practicing Certificate, and is passionate about supporting student success through a case management approach.
As a Student Advisor, you'll be part of a team that provides wide-ranging support, from student administration assistance to pastoral care, empowering students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Our services are delivered across multiple channels, including phone, email, in-person, and online.
The primary focus of this role is to support students with disabilities, providing specialist advisory services within the Disability Support Services team. While the role is based at the City Campus, elements of the work will be based at South Campus.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A background as an allied health professional with a genuine passion for client wellbeing and success
- A sound knowledge of disability support services; experience in mental health and neurodiversity is an advantage
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, student-focused service with professionalism and empathy
- Experience delivering support through a case management model
- Strong digital literacy and experience using relationship management systems
- A calm, composed, and proactive approach in high-pressure or fast-paced environments
- A collaborative spirit and a positive, solutions-focused mindset
