Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Administrator to join the School of Psychology, Speech and Hearing. In this pivotal role, you will deliver high quality administrative support across the School, contributing directly to the success of our staff, students, and stakeholders. It's a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly successful School and prestigious university and to contribute to our academic community.
As a School Administrator, you will be an integral part of a collaborative and supportive team that takes pride in providing professional, efficient, and people-focused service. You'll help ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, support academic and strategic activities, and foster a welcoming and responsive environment for all who engage with the School.
Mōu | Who You Are
You have significant administrative experience, ideally in an education-related environment, and have:
- Minimum 3 years' administrative experience in a medium to large organisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint and Teams would be an advantage
- Experience working with purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable policies and procedures, and generating financial reports.
- Experience in meeting support, including minute taking.
- Knowledge of social media and maintaining website.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff, students, and external groups.
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to cope with competing demands.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga (protocols and processes), kawa (rules) of cultural practice and traditions as guided by mana whenua, Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and valuing te reo Māori.
