Recreation and Wellbeing Coordinator

Are you passionate about student wellbeing, community engagement, and creating inclusive recreation opportunities? Massey University is seeking a vibrant and organised Recreation and Wellbeing Co-ordinator to join our Albany Campus team.

In this exciting role, you’ll lead the delivery of recreation activities, wellbeing initiatives, and fitness events that enhance the student experience and foster a strong sense of connection on campus. You’ll work across teams and with external partners to coordinate impactful programmes for students, staff, and the wider community.

What you’ll do

• Develop and deliver engaging wellbeing and recreation initiatives

• Plan and manage inclusive campus fitness events

• Coordinate bookings and promotions for Recreation Centre spaces

• Build relationships across student services and community partners

• Support communications through social media and MyHub

What we’re looking for

• Tertiary qualification in recreation, sports management, fitness, or wellbeing

• Experience in event or project coordination

• Confident with social media promotion (Facebook/Instagram)

• A passion for student wellbeing and a can-do attitude

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent position based at the Albany Campus with a salary range of $58,038 - $82,006 (2025) depending on skills and experience.
