Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Design. This role is part of an exciting research programme focused on developing smart, high-performing keratin structures for new biologically-derived export products.

This includes developing materials that can interface with microbes to enable controlled delivery functions. You will contribute specifically to:

  • The development of keratin membranes and sponges that respond to environmental stimuli
  • Experimental characterisation (e.g. mechanical testing, SEM, FTIR, CD-spectroscopy)
  • Collaboration with Lincoln Agritech, including occasional travel
  • Reporting, documentation, and participation in team workshops

This is a full-time (36 hours/week), fixed-term role for 48 months. The salary for this role is $81,364 per annum, prorated depending on experience and qualifications.

Please review the position description for more information.
