Job Description:

An opportunity is available to join the Faculty of Design and Creative Technologies (DCT) in the role of Registrar in the School of Future Environments.

The School Registrar is a key member of the School leadership team contributing to the strategic direction of the School. The role provides managerial and administrative leadership in the School responsible for managing quality assurance, academic, and student administration processes.. The School Registrar is expected to provide quality advice to academic and professional staff on academic policy and is required to make informed, independent decisions on a range of academic matters.

The School Registrar is required to develop, implement, and manage procedures and protocols to ensure University policies are operationalised appropriately within the school context. They have overall responsibility for managing and advising on student complaints and academic discipline matters within the School. This necessitates highly specialised knowledge of relevant policies and procedures and excellent negotiation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

The incumbent must be able to work autonomously, with the ability to make high-level decisions that might impact student progression or academic developments. They will also need to establish and maintain effective relationships and work in collaboration with a wide range of people across the School, Faculty and University. This will require highly developed communication skills, a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and professionalism.

Salary Range: $91,500 - $111,500 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
