A key part of the student experience, an exciting role awaits to guide student discovery and decisions to make academic dreams a reality as a Senior Academic Advisor on our Albany Auckland Campus. This is an opportunity to combine your academic programme knowledge and critical thinking skills with a passion for guiding and supporting new and returning students to achieve their goals.
The Senior Academic Advisor role requires an appreciative strengths-focused attitude towards individuals, combined with the ability to accurately interpret regulations and qualification requirements in complex scenarios. You will work alongside students to make their learning ambitions a reality through the co-creation of personalised academic pathways that meet regulatory requirements.
Senior Academic Advisors are assigned an advising portfolio based on campus service needs. While subject knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines is not essential, it will be beneficial: Business | Creative Arts | Health | Humanities and Social Sciences | Sciences.

The salary band for the position is $56,622 - $80,006 based on skills and experience.

- A tertiary qualification is preferred.
- Previous study in or understanding of the higher education environment is desirable.
- Competency in, or a desire and willingness to undertake professional development in, Te Reo Māori, Tikanga and Te Tiriti principles.
- Experience in building constructive relationships with both students and colleagues is essential, as you will work collaboratively across various university departments to enhance the student experience.
