Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Study Abroad Office is excited to announce the newly created position of International Office Administrator. This part time (0.5 FTE) position will support the Study Abroad team, and occasionally the wider international office, with a variety of administrative tasks. Ideally, you will understand the culture of being in a service role and be a people person who likes to connect and build relationships with those around you.

This is a role for someone who is energised by a busy schedule with a variety of responsibilities. Some of these will include:

  • General finance administration
  • Event booking
  • Travel bookings
  • Student & Partner newsletter
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations

The days of work for this opportunity are negotiable for the right candidate and this team uses a hybrid working model (work from home included). However, the team all must be in the office on Wednesdays and ideally either a Tuesday or Thursday also.

Please note this is a part-time (0.5 FTE), permanent position. The salary range for this role is $50,700 - $63,900 prorated per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications and ability to learn University information systems 
  • Experience in an administration or customer services role ideal, but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
