Are you passionate about social media and digital marketing? Do you have a knack for bringing stories and brands to life through strategic social media outreach? AUT is looking for a Senior Manager - Social and Digital Marketing to join our dynamic Brand and Marketing Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing AUT's social media strategy, enhancing our digital presence, and protecting our reputation among key stakeholders. The Senior Manager - Social and Digital Marketing will also play a pivotal role in aligning AUT's social and paid digital strategies with the wider AUT strategic plan, ensuring seamless integration at every stage of the customer journey.

Reporting into the Head of Digital Marketing, the Senior Manager - Social and Digital Marketing role will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and digital strategy to increase brand visibility and engagement across various platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver an integrated approach that aligns align social media and digital marketing efforts with overall strategic objectives.
  • Measure success against key organisational strategies and business objectives.
  • Act as a brand guardian for AUT and apply user experience (UX/CX) methodologies to improve audience engagement.
  • Create and manage content calendars for social media channels, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.
  • Stay informed on trends and issues relevant to AUT to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Manage and optimise social media and digital advertising activities to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Lead team development and management of all paid advertising and search engine optimisation and marketing strategies.
  • Manage budgets and ensure activities produce cost efficiencies.

As the Senior Manager - Social and Digital Marketing, requirements of the role will include:

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, social media, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum five years of experience in social media, communications, and/or digital marketing.
  • Excellent understanding of digital and social media principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and propose innovative ideas.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to build relationships and work in a in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
