Position Overview

We are seeking two Administrators to join our administration team within the College of Sciences at Massey University – Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa. These are permanent full-time positions, and can be based on either our Auckland campus in Albany or our Manawatū campus in Palmerston North.

We’re seeking talented Administrators to join our collaborative team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization, providing essential administrative support.

The role is 37.5 hours Monday to Friday and requires the successful candidate to be on campus to deliver the service.

Āu Mahi | What you will do

The purpose of these roles is to provide comprehensive, high-quality administration support to managers, staff, and students while supporting them to achieve their objectives. The successful candidates will support awareness and uptake of managers and staff in self-service work requests and on systems and processes and will engender new ways of performing general administrative tasks.

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

  • Experience in administration in a large, complex organisation - essential.
  • An understanding of the University's regulatory, academic, financial, and strategic context - desirable.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, being receptive and helpful when dealing with a diverse range of people within the University and externally - essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle varying levels of complexity and meet multiple deadlines - essential
  • Experience in business services and process improvement and be able to support multiple projects/initiatives at the same time - essential
  • A commitment to working with a team where you can maintain and model productive working relationships - essential
  • A relevant higher-level qualification such as a Cert in Business Administration or working towards one - desirable.
