Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are looking for a trade qualified, self-motivated engineer to provide specialist support in the prototype manufacturing of high precision components for research and teaching purposes.

Our work involves the manufacture of research and teaching equipment where you will have the chance to use your skills to build and develop prototype engineering and scientific equipment.

Working with minimal supervision or as part of a team you will find the work rewarding, interesting, and varied. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of materials and machinery. Sound design skills and the ability to problem solve will allow you to develop unique solutions to some of the challenges you will face.

The successful candidate will have both top quality machining skills along with an ability to fabricate components also being advantageous.

We offer a 37.5 hour work week, a well-equipped modern workshop with excellent working conditions and strong workplace Health and Safety compliance.

This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent role. The salary range for this role is $68,600 -  $87,500 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
