The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi 

We are looking for three Student Experience Representatives to help provide cover while a staff member undertakes a secondment opportunity with another team. In this role, you will assist with enquiries coming into the centre, from both current and future students. We are ideally looking for suitable candidates to start as soon as possible. 

The role of Student Experience Representative (Inbound) within the Student Experience Centre at The University of Auckland is a pivotal position that will give you a unique opportunity to be of service to our most important customers: our current and future students. 

We pride ourselves on providing an excellent and consistent level of service to students. We cover a broad range of queries which ensures your day is varied and allows for inbound and outbound interactions through email and other channels. 

This role is typically based on 49 Symonds Street, Auckland CBD but we may need a level of flexibility during these uncertain times to be able to work on site and from home if and when required.  Please note that during the period that you may need to work off site, you will need to have access to your own personal computer/lap top etc. to be able to support this role off site. 

These are 2 full-time and 1 part-time opportunity.

He kōrero mōu | About you 

We are looking for a candidates who understand that excellent customer service is not a department, but an attitude. This means you must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, problem solving and computer skills. 

Your passion for great customer service is further demonstrated through excellent listening skills as well as an eye for detail. You take pride in your work and combine this with a healthy sense of humour and self-awareness. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will engage you in this varied role. 

 

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills/Experience 

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience delivering high quality customer service, and experience dealing with complex problems 
  • Experience of working with and understanding the needs of a diverse range of clients. 
  • Experience working in a Call Centre operation 
  • Ability to navigate multiple online systems 
  • Relevant experience in the tertiary sector will be considered an asset, however not essential.
