Position Overview

Puhoro is a complete capability pipeline for rangatahi Māori from secondary school, through tertiary and into employment. Puhoro responds to low Māori engagement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics otherwise known as STEM.

We are seeking to appoint one Kaihautū position to deliver the Puhoro programme in South Auckland.

In this position, you will report to the Kaihautū Team Leader. You will be part of a team who will support rangatahi to achieve their aspirations. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a wider team, working closely with rangatahi, whanau, secondary schools, Massey University staff and STEM industry stakeholders as appropriate.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
• An undergraduate qualification or equivalent
• Capacity to understand tikanga and kawa and operate with a Māori world-view
• Proven experience in working with rangatahi Māori and whānau
