Position Overview
Pūhoro is a complete capability pipeline for rangatahi Māori from secondary school, through tertiary and into employment. Pūhoro responds to low Māori engagement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics otherwise known as STEM.
We are seeking to appoint two Kaihautū positions to deliver the Puhoro programme in Christchurch.
In this position, you will report to the Kaihautū Team Leader. You will be part of a team who will support rangatahi to achieve their aspirations. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a wider team, working closely with rangatahi, whānau, secondary schools, Massey University staff and STEM industry stakeholders as appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• An undergraduate qualification or equivalent
• Capacity to understand tikanga and kawa and operate with a Māori world-view
• Proven experience in working with rangatahi Māori and whānau
