Position Overview

A fantastic opportunity exists to put your sound business development expertise into action by helping Massey University grow and develop its offshore student body through Transnational Education (TNE) partnerships.

This position works as a key member of the Global Partnerships (TNE) team to meet key objectives that align with the Universities strategy. Operationally focused, the role will:

(i) lead business case development for TNE projects;

(ii) identify and develop TNE business opportunities and maintain an active pipeline of potential TNE opportunities;

(iii) negotiate and close TNE partnership arrangements; and

(iv) maintain extensive knowledge of current international market conditions and trends.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of leadership and stakeholder management, together with a commitment to results-oriented, collaborative and evidence-based ways of working. Additionally, you will be a seasoned manager with experience in meeting ambitious targets.


We will require you to demonstrate your proven experience in developing relationships within the domestic and international market. Experience within the education sector is advantageous, however you may also come from a corporate background. The key skillset we are looking for is experience within business development and a proven track record of fostering and maintaining key working relationships.

Your proactive, energetic approach will see you have success in this role, along with your professionalism and ability to inspire confidence and respect with different groups of people and cultures.
