Auckland University of Technology (AUT) are looking for a full time (37.5 hour per week) Emergency Management Coordinator. This exciting role is responsible for assisting in providing a safe and secure environment at AUT, New Zealand's second largest university.

You will be responsible for coordinating emergency management capabilities including; Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans, Fire and Building Wardens, First Aid Responders and the Emergency Response Centre.

This is a Leadership role is contained within a very complex tertiary environment with students, staff, visitors and infrastructure spread over three distinct campuses. In the event of a crisis or emergency you will be expected to coordinate the universities response so that it can attain business as usual practices within the most effective timeframe.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven Staff Management/Supervision experience
  • Current Clean Full Drivers Licence
  • Clear Police check
  • Clear Credit check

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in emergency response in an operational context.
  • Leadership capability with strengths in training and development
  • High level of professionalism and integrity including personal presentation
  • Customer focussed approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and team organisation skills
  • Good physical fitness
  • Competent computer skills
