  • Fixed term to December 2023
  • HEWL 8: $95,214 – $109,337 p.a (pro rata for part time) plus 17% superannuation
  • Based at the JCU Townsville Bebegu Yumba Campus.
What you can accomplish in the role

Representing the public face of the Psychology Discipline and working closely with a range of external partners, you will provide psychological therapy and assessment services to individuals across the lifespan. Services provided will vary for each client based on needs, however will include individual therapy intervention under the Medicare model (Mental Health Care Plans), psychological assessment, liaison with external providers where relevant and facilitating group programs.

What you will bring to the role

In addition to possessing a Master of Psychology (Clinical) qualification, you will have extensive experience in delivering clinical services, individual therapies and group programs to a broad range of clients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. You will have experience working with complex and high-risk mental health presentations with skills providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions and assessment for cases with varied complexity. High-level communication, interpersonal and organisational skills will also be essential in this challenging yet rewarding role.
